Filter Tube Machine
The modular tube machine manufactures filter tubes in various diameters and seam variants – from unwinding the filter medium to cutting to length.

Application
With its modular design, the NUCLEUS tube machine provides a uniform solution for numerous tasks in the manufacture of filter tubes:
- Unwinding of material rolls up to 800 mm wide
- Manufacture of filter tubes using rotary roll seam welding
- Optional: tube production with overlap seam and prior edge trimming
- Optional: tube production with additional separating seam
- Cutting the filter tubes to the desired length or winding them onto a roll
Equipment
- Compact folding modules: Innovative folding modules form the filter medium into a tube in a small space.
- Automatic guide alignment: Optionally, the guides align themselves automatically.
- Printer modules: Printer modules are available for marking the tubes.
- Cutting or winding: Cut by guillotine (cold shear cut), rotating driven knife or laser – or wound onto a roll.
The automatic tube machine allows flexible adaptation to different production requirements and seam variants. Both integration into existing production lines and stand-alone operation are possible. Remote maintenance and numerous Industry 4.0 options ensure transparent and efficient filter media production.

Three welding processes in one machine
The line works with different ultrasonic welding heads – for cut & seal (cutting and sealing in one step), edge trimming and overlap welding. All three sit in one machine and can be combined or used alternatively. So you produce different filter tubes without converting the line. Generator, converter and sonotrode come from our own development.

Cutting by guillotine or CO₂ laser
A servo-controlled puller draws the finished tube on evenly. It is cut to length either by guillotine as a cold cut or by CO₂ laser – depending on the material and the desired cut edge.

Folding modules
Compact folding modules form the filter medium into a tube in a small space. Optionally, the guides adjust themselves to the required diameter.

Conveyor belt
A conveyor belt takes over the finished tubes after cutting and sets them down for removal.
