About us

Nucleus GmbH was founded in 1976 by Dr. Florian Tschech as an engineering
company for nuclear process engineering in Düsseldorf with workshops in Aachen.

1978 Development and engineering of the fully automated production machines for
welding technique production of personal protective clothing (?PSA?).
Construction of our own assembly line for one-way?protective clothing. Patent office
registration for this special production technique.

1982 Relocation to Düsseldorf and beginning of development of special welding
techniques for thermoplastic-synthetic-foil, particularly for technical textiles and
nonwoven fabric. Several publications concerning special welding techniques.

1988 Establishment of our own production plant at Gerresheimer Str. 99.
Engineering and construction of smaller welding machines and instruments
implementing special welding techniques for non-woven fabrics up to 150 g/m^2.

1994 Establishment of a further production plant in Poland (Lublin) for the
production of safety clothing using conventional sewing techniques as well as
advanced welding techniques (approx. 60 employees).

Since 1994 intensive research and development of continuously welding ultrasonic
machines with a rotating sonstorode.

Engineering and development of a new, modular ultrasonic welding machines
including variable attachments which were introduced at the exhibitions ?Fakuma-
Messe 1999? and ?IMB-Messe 2000?.

2001 License agreement with PFAFF Industie Maschinen AG, which distributed our
standard machine Rotomat SN under the name Pfaff Seamsonic 8310-01 to -03.
Further development and modernization of the reliable ultrasonic welding technique
by implementing new control- and automation techniques.

February 2006
30th anniversary of the company. The result: high-tech engineering and software
development of ultrasonic welding with 18 employees.
